Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens welcomes all visitors and offers superb group booking rates, with additional savings on river cruise bookings.

How to make a group booking

On-line: Simply enter your group details onto our secure server.  You can pay by credit/debit card or print out the order and send it to us with a cheque.

By Post: Simply, download and complete thebookingform.  Then send it to:

Group Bookings, Beale Park, The Child-Beale Trust, Lower Basildon, Reading, Berkshire, RG8 9NH, with the following:

  • a stamped addressed envelope
  • a cheque with the name of the group written on the back, made payable to:

THE CHILD-BEALE TRUST

Your tickets will be forwarded to you within 14 working days and a member of staff will be available to assist you with any queries, on 0844 8261761 or, alternatively, you can email us at: Administration@bealepark.co.uk.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take telephone bookings.

How much will it cost?

Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens offers reduced rates to groups of 15 people upwards The table below will help you to determine the total cost of your visit.   In addition to this, please note:

  • Staff and adult helpers are required to pay for entry to the Park and should be included in your group size.
  • Children under two years of age are not included within your group size. 

All bookings must be pre-paid, a minimum of two weeks in advance; otherwise a £10 administration fee will apply.

What to do if you miss the two week deadline

If less than two weeks and more than seven days prior to your visit you can:

Complete the form and forward it to Beale Park with payment, plus a £10 administration fee.  Your tickets will be available for collection as you enter the Park.

Less than seven days prior to your visit:

Pay as you enter the Park – you will be offered a group booking rate of 15 to 59 £5.50 & 60 + £5.00.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to book the river cruise at the reduced rate.  Normal fees will apply as you board.

Important Information

Please check your booking arrangements carefully, as refunds are not given on the cancellation of a booking or for those groups arriving on the day with less people than anticipated.  However, Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens will be happy to offer alternative dates for your visit in 2008.

Train Tickets

Each member of your group is offered a FREE train ride during their visit.

Please note:

  • Train rides are subject to availability.
  • Each person is offered one ride during their visit; additional rides are available at £1.00 each.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • To assist you with the organisation of your day, the group can be split into smaller groups enabling you to ride   on the train at different times throughout the day.

Thames River Cruises 

Thames Rivercruise are now offering a preferential rate for school groups.  A 30 minute cruise has a discounted price of £3.50 per person for a minimum booking of 40 people.  Smaller groups can also be accommodated if they are willing to join other parties – providing both parties are in agreement.  These trips are on selected days (subject to availability).  Further preferential rates are available on request.

 The Peacock Restaurant 

The Peacock Restaurant offers a variety of hot and cold meals, teas and ice creams.  To book in advance please call: Mark Torjussen on 0118 9842986.

 Beale Park Booklets & Worksheets

 Beale Park has produced three booklets and a set of worksheets to help visitors find out more about the plants and animals living in the Park. These include:

 1)      The Discovery Book (5yrs +)  The booklet contains animal fact sheets, pictures, puzzles and activities - complete with a Beale Park pencil

 2)      Tree Trail Book will help our younger visitors to identify a variety of trees as it takes them on a trail through the Park

 3)      The Beale Park Colouring Book features some of the Park's most popular animals and attractions and is accompanied by a pack of crayons.

 The booklets will be available to buy from the ticket office on arrival for £1.00 each.  To ease the admission process, we recommend that these are ordered in advance as part of your booking.  The worksheets are available on-line for you to download, free of charge, prior to your visit.
