About Us

Animal & Tree Sponsorship

A Brief History

In 1956, Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens was formed by Gilbert Beale, who decided to donate his beautiful 350 acre Thames-side park land to the public by converting it from private farmland into a non-profit making, Charitable Trust. In those days it was little more than a track and a couple of ponds.

Since then Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens has developed a remarkable collection of rare and endangered birds and animals, the majority of which are "captive-bred" and involved in breeding programmes.   Today, Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens offers fun and discovery for all the family and, in addition, gives you the opportunity to be a part of its work through our animal and tree sponsorship scheme.

Please sponsor me

While sponsorship doesn't cost the earth, your donation will make a tremendous difference.  Beale Park Wildlife Park and Garden's sponsorship scheme gives you the opportunity to share in the initiatives which we run to care for endangered species and wildlife conservation.

By joining our animal and tree sponsorship scheme, you directly contribute to the upkeep and welfare of your chosen species and the running of Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens.  Every penny raised helps: to fund our conservation and captive breeding programmes; purchase specialist foods and heat, light and maintain enclosures, as well as ensuring that trained staff are in place to care for the animals, as we strive to create the best possible environment for our animals and visitors.

How the scheme works

The scheme is open to everyone – individuals, families, schools, classes, clubs, businesses and companies alike.

All animal sponsorships run for a minimum of 12 months and can start at any time (birthdays, anniversaries etc.)

What is included in your sponsorship?
